Dental Cleaning

Our routine Dental Cleaning includes the process of Hand Scaling and Coronal Polishing:

Dental Scaling involves removal of plaque,  calculus and stains from the surface of the teeth. Teeth scaling may be done by ultrasonic or traditional hand scaling.

• Dental Polishing invovles finishing or shining the surface of the teeth.
• Dental polishing is traditionally done with a soft rubber polishing  cup with prophy paste.

If you have more tartar and plaque buildup, you need longer dental cleaning appointments visits than those who have relatively cleaner teeth. A typical routine dental cleaning takes approximately 45 minutes.

We recommend to visit our practice for a professional dental cleaning every six months to prevent plaque from building up on your teeth surface. Lack of teeth cleaning allows the plaque growth. If plaque is left unchecked, it can lead to dental problems such as teeth decay or gum issues.
